All About ME

I put some of the things about me on Bella;s page..note to self: don't try to do 2 hubs at the same time...with 3 cats...and vodka....

Contrary to what you may have heard, there are times when it should be "all about ME".

Too many people say that is "selfish". But sometimes you need to be!

Guess what? If you don't spend the time, doing the the things that make your "me" better, then how can you be a good part of "us"?

So... I've going to impart some of the knowledge I've gained over the years.... yes, some of it is "patting myself on the back", but I'm also giving at the same time...

 Few close friends. It's not just because I can be an ***hole...

But because my heart only allows me to let people close to me who are GENUINELY good people.

It has not always been that way. I used to "thrive" and...kind of NEED for everyone to "like" me. I used to confuse "like" with LOVE.  And, to be honest, that is what I was seeking.

I am still seeking it - we ALL are..it's part of our nature. But..I am "lucky"...

 ...people around me that DID love me. I was just too blind to see it.

And, I was blind to the fact that some of the people around me were just pretending!

We all know them: will buy you dinner, cocktails, etc. But when they find out that they "can't get into your pants", and you have a real emergency....

But, I still H...

 The people I HAD all along the way. And, one or two new ones!

Greg Gusinde..was my  first Flight Instructor.  He's twice my weight...and told me that the Cessna 152 would feel differently on takeoff..... I'm stubborn...and am sooo glad that he made sure I remembered it - otherwise, I would have flaired up, and sat the pane down on it's "but".

He also laughed at me, when I took his "advice" about landing, for the first time, on my own: if it does not feel right, throttle up, and tell the tower that you are going to do it again!

I got it on my 2nd try, by the way.  And, yes: I (literally) kissed the ground, hugged Greg, and did a "HAPPY DANCE"! I had ACTUALLY piloted a plane from the ground...and MADE IT BACK. SOOOOO cool!

I wanted to say "by myself", but......

...even though I was "alone" in the plane....I had never been really alone.Greg was standing by. semi-close the the runway, I was dating a woman at the time...yes, a real woman... who was a Navy Air Traffic Controller....

A side note....I still love Tracey, to death...as a friend..... but....some of my solo flights..when I got my endorsement...denied my position to enter the "180"...

I should do Rob, Tasha, Betty, Mary, Lynn, Wooga, Lauro, Shirley, Brian, Laura, Darlene, Lauro, Jeff, Mr. S, Mrs. S, Mrs, F, Mr. F (senior, and junior...the stubborn one), Ray, James, Sgt. Bernie, Sgt. Santello, MAJOR DRURY, Chira, DelValle, Jordan, Ray, Areolla, ....and the list goes on.

By the way, the list is in no particular order......past the first 5...and I could shuffle those numbers...and I know that they won't be mad if one is not mentioned first.

And..if you are actually reading this: don't try to analyze it...looking at the first 5.....I will save you some time: I put the first 5 for a reason. There have been many people in my life....but those 4 have gone "above and beyond"....when the times got "rough"....hang out with me, for a while..you will know....THEY DO HAPPEN...not on purpose.....ask a few people listed.

And not just to get in my pants! Rob has been there..but if any of the other 4 do...CALL JERRY SPRINGER!

By the way: Mr. Fitz (the younger, stubborn one) has some of the BEST reflexes I've ever seen! And limber,too! (you have never seen his "jump and spin" move. I can still out-shoot him, though...and I "lost" the star, captains' bars, gold leaf, and silver leaf that I was given (as a Marine Corps tradition)..for MAKING them qualify on the pistol range.

Yes, I said: MAKING.... On the firing range, I don't care WHAT rank you are. (I'm also not that stupid... respect the rank)...IF it is a matter of life, or death...and if you do ANYTHING on the range that infringes on one, or may cause another......

As I am coaching you to shoot...As I go into MARINE CORPS SERGEANT MODE on your ass, because you decided to try and go "down range" before the green light....without checking your chamber, first....remember one thing: the coaches are the only ones who are allowed to go back and forth along the line...with a loaded weapon. And...we are teaching YOU to shoot at a target 25 feet away....you are 2 away....

And, yes..I am a bit pissed at Terry Jr. As a friend....he turned on me, for the wrong reasons. He KNEW..and still knows that I would give my life for his kids....and beyond.... He is also a fellow Marine.

Deep down...he knows that we are still friends.....I just hope he does not wait until we are both 60 until we can talk to one another.

It's probably a good thing,s though: Alan, Ray, and Bert back together? We may have to start our own garage bank: imagine the three of us, trying to sing Ozzie, Kiss, and  the Commodores...!

Back to Greg. Tracey was not "screwing with me". She was reminding me of what Greg did to scare the life out of me.

He PURPOSELY "steered me into what I callTHA the "2 minute, 45 seconds" of a jet's pattern....ou

Afterwards..he said "THAT's why they have the 3-minute rule!" Point was: it really isn't the engines you have to worry about from jets: it's the "tornado" that comes off the wing tips.....

By the way, he said this, AFTER I thought that something had snatched the plane, shook it, and "sent it towards the ground"....! but..I had a great instructor....something made me "recover". (he may have helped: dual controls and petals)....

Point? I "lost" my first flight book...and my engraved K-Bar.... but I did not lose the experience.

 I lived at the hostel on the same street that the GENIUS' who started this Awesome site...hubpages.com.

Now, I live in Mexico...  I don't like having to take a jacket everywhere I go,,,EVEN IN SUMMER....

Another tidbit of advice: If you visit San Francisco, TAKE A JACKET....and fog-lights...and a camera..it is a beautiful city....and I would vote for the mayor...again...in a heartbeat!

I have..and...have had a "spark" ...I have a $20 bill in a clump of scoop away! Now....I am soooo glad that..in my drunkeness....when i hid it.. that i left a signal for the "drunk alan" who would "look for it in the future". 

by the way...WHY DO MY CATS ONLY NEED TO "USE THE BATHROOM",  when I am sitting there, in the dark, searching for "gold"?!?

I think of a Beyonce song: "Irreplaceable"...to the left..to the left.... reached to the left....then wondered: HOW MUCH MONEY HAVE I "SENT" TO THE LANDFILL.......?

I'm a people person. I am also a learning person...I'm also a teaching person. and so on...if I were not such an asshole..at times, I would think I was the anti-christ.

Anyway, I should market MYSELF...AND THOSE CLOSE TOO ME!

Here we go: ask a temp...If you are a temp agancy, charge your clients a fee..then let them know that: they can call me for A LOT LESS!

You don't need to pay me extra for my ADVANCED knowledge in the WHOLE Microsoft Office Suite..Including the Accounting part......honestly, I underand that program...but  I cannot figure the logic of the "debit vs credit" thing!

It is backwards!!!!! But...don't get me wrong: I am exellent with PeopleSoft Financials and PeopleSoft HRIS....(if you don't know what the HRIS stands for...a girl has to keep some of her secrets).

Either way....go back to one of my other pages: Rob ican do accounting.... He can do the numbers..and I can show him how to do it easier.....the sooner you are finished, the sooner we can have fun!

Imagine drinking marines, when we first got to Okinawa, Japan!  Had a "coke machine", that had beer!

True stuff: we used to send someone else..down south...to the air force package store....and spend the weekend playing spades, and bacardi....

tournament.....branch and i would take a nap.... then...it's still our table...

Also, I can play euchre...been accused of cheating.....

Guess what.... I can read the cards...my partner, and my opponents....but I always do 2 things: I bid MY hand, and count on my partner for 1!

Rob has kept EVERY promise...except for one:

It has to be in our courtyard, though....cause betty is not going to close her store to take a trip..but we won't have to buy flowers..."Granny" has more flowers...
